I give you the car/freeway chase scene from Reloaded as an example, and there is more of the same unending SFX stuff in this film. There were a couple of points during the film where I actually said "woah" out loud. But then it seemed like they wanted me to keep being amazed and it just wasn't going to happen. There was one scene in particular where I must have looked at my wristwatch three times within the span of five minutes. It was excruciating to watch and I wanted it it to be over with.
